In April 2005 after a devastating house fire in Primrose Hill took most of her possessions, eccentric British sculptress Debra Franses Bean was inspired to make a series of powerful designs that remind us that beauty can be found in the destroyed parts of life. Her signature chandelier image echoes the shadow of a charred chandelier rescued from her burnt house and her bird sketches are inspired by her escape from the fire. Even the handbag design that was first exhibited at Harvey Nichols in 2004 is based on designer handbags, cast in resin and then reproduced to make bold and striking wallpaper and fabric designs. Appointments can be made to visit her private NW3 studio and commission sculptures of your children or pet, paintings and personalized wallpapers, fabrics and furniture.

Her designs and sculptures have already appeared in some of the world's most exclusive homes and retail stores; Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and Paul Smith and London's Victoria & Albert Museum are now archiving her wallpaper designs.
