Mijola Daniel is the brainchild of Bola Ogundipe, the energetic and charismatic London lawyer turned jewellery designer. After her third child Bola knew she wanted a career that enabled her to spend more flexible time with the family and to explore her strong creative ideas. Around about this time she was inspired, literally, by a very vivid dream, and henceforth decided to commit herself to jewellery designing and use her multicultural heritage with its strong African influences, to help her create astonishingly handcrafted and unique pieces.

Bola has come along way since that decision nine years ago. Now with a gorgeous shop on the Kings Road in Chelsea, she has the perfect location to showcase her colourful designs in a vicinity that reflects their classic appeal. A visit to Mijola Daniel (which by the way is a word derived from her own, her childrens' and her husband's names all rolled into one!) will inspire you to dress simply so that you can accessorize madly....

Bola is passionate about her designs and jewellery pieces, which are all exclusive one-offs and fashioned from stones and jewels that she hand sources on her world travels. Every detailed piece is made lovingly by hand.

Meeting Bola is a fabulous experience in itself - she's quite a character. I thoroughly recommend visiting her shop ...
