“Our garments are well-sourced and not astronomically expensive. When prices are high it’s for a reason, there’s a justification. We don’t buy a lot of each garment, so the pieces are quite limited edition, you won’t see other people wearing them. We give a high level of service compared to somewhere like Selfridges. We have forty brands in here, so you get the same selection you would at Selfridges but you also get a lot of help. The people who work here are all very interesting. We have stylists, actresses and make-up artists – women who will understand your lifestyle.

The Belstaff boots have been brilliant. We were one of the first people to import them, even before Belstaff opened up here. We’ve just bought more and more. People love them because they can walk in them. It’s functional sportswear, perfect for Primrose Hill which is like a village in London – people here like to be in the countryside at the weekend, so they take their wardrobe and transfer it at the weekend. Chloé does really well as well – it’s innocent and low-key, it’s a young person’s Hermés.

We’re selling coats and boots now. Key colours for the autumn: lots of elephant grey, highlights of fuscia, quite a lot of dark green, not army green but almost. I would be buying chunky knitwear now, another pair of skinny jeans of some sort, the new wax cotton jeans from Notify are a good choice, they’ve got a good stretch in them so still hold you in! And the Belstaff boots which Kate Moss is wearing in the advert. And I think the platform will develop into more refined chunky heels for the winter.

We’ve got a lovely pinafore which could be worn over jeans, ribbed woolly tights, leggings and over-the-knee socks. Our leggings are completely opaque and hold you in really well. We’ve also got great chucky stripy knitwear, and Missoni gloves for £40 and the scarves, which are about £100, they make great winter gifts. I also mix in a bit of vintage in the shop. We all like it and it adds a bit of surprise. We get new stuff in everyday.

I think people will definitely carry on wearing shorts this winter. For eveningwear Issa and La Petite Salope with the corsets sell really well and we have a new label called Melissa from Brazil. They do shoes, same kind of vibe as the Haviana flip-flops, gorgeous little red pumps for only £35. They smell like bubblegum!”

What: Carefully chosen fashion for the stylish yet practical-minded lady. Beautiful, tasteful garments, perfect for feeling wonderfully well-dressed in any situation. Good selection of designer jeans – Superfine, Tsubi, Cheap Mondays, Notify. For dresses – La Petite Salope and Issa. You’ll also find Missoni woollens, empire line winter coats at approximately £300, tunic dresses and pinafores.

Why: Go for the great selection of leather belts and the Belstaff boots, perfect for yomping around London this autumn and winter. If you’re feeling really extravagant and have decided that a staple part of your winter wardrobe is to be tights, then treat yourself to a pair of Press’s £28 luxurious slate grey woollen tights. You will also find gorgeously delicate earrings and necklaces that are just begging for you to try them on and take them home – and they don’t cost the earth. And of course the Cheap Monday skinny jeans at £40 a pop.

Where: Nearest tube is Chalk Farm. You need to turn right out of the tube, cross over the bridge and turn right onto Regent’s Park Road, which is where all Primrose Hill’s boutiques, cafés and restaurants are. Erskine Road is about half way along on the right.

When: Monday-Saturday 10.30am-6.30pm. Sunday 12noon-5pm.
