Who: Kimberly Yurisich, founder and designer. She develops and oversees the product range – from leading her design team in the creation of new styles through to the selection and sourcing of new butter soft leathers and on-trend colours. Kimberly has a degree in architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Wharton. She lived and worked in New York at Citibank and Accenture before arriving in London more than a decade ago. Her corporate experience in New York and London has set her in good stead for applying her problem-solving skills to more glamorous dilemmas - like creating the perfect handbag!

What: Notting Hill Design's bags are inspired by 20th century design, particularly the golden ages of the 40’s and 50’s. Defined by clean, sculptural lines with a sense of proportion; there's always an element of fun and something a little unexpected in the range – like the black and white patent version of the Westbourne or the orange patent version of the Lonsdale. Inspired by the grand ‘Haute Couture’ houses, these bags are obsessed with quality of finish and the most minute details. Subtle details are one of the things that sets the brand and its bags apart – handcrafted metal zip pulls – larger and heavier than standard “off the rack” models – or the Swarovski capped hinges on the LoLA clutch bag which makes a purely structural element become beautiful features.

Why: Kimberly set up Notting Hill design in 2003 with the aim of allowing modern women to glide seamlessly from a hard day at work to a night out with ease and practical sophisitication.
