Forget the horror stories about model-for-a-day photo shoots, boudoir beautiful Jessica Gearhart is delighted to be captured on camera (for posterity's sake!).

So, what’s one to think having agreed (in a risque moment) to pose for a Boudoir Beautiful photo shoot? My boyfriend had visions of Fame running through his very active imagination, but my photo shoot was anything but. Professional, cool, well-run, comfortable and fun is what it was.

Not at all amateur-porn style, it’s in a great studio tucked away in Farringdon, it’s light and airy. Of course, they cater to all photographic whims – head shots, music industry, magazine shoots, family shoots. And doing it with style separates them from the rest.

I had makeup and hair done (although it was hard to feel sexy in blue eyeliner, but in the end, she was right, it did make my eyes pop). And there’s a kitchen with whatever you fancy – from water to wine, sip whatever loosens you up.

For Boudoir Beautiful bring whatever sexy kit you have. Forgetting the token sexy kit I wore my underwear – thigh-high Wolfords, lacy boy pants and bra. Not bad for everyday underwear. The photographer is relaxed and gives great direction (hot tip: get an all-female team if you want).

There are lamps, fans, music (key part a good shoot) and sundry, tasteful backdrops (no fake beaches). The couch was fantastic studded leather and the wooden floors lend a classic touch to the images.

I then do some shots in my birthday suit!

By the time we finished my back ached (how do models do it?), but I recovered, swigged my wine, put on my kit and viewed their handy work. And I was a scorching hot sex kitten! Which was definitely handy – seeing as I had shown up in a Babydoll with hair in a scraggly knot, the antithesis of sexy.

This is a service that I honestly think every person – or at least every woman – should use at least once. In the era of alien, androgynous beauty, where skeletal is considered sexy, it’s great to vamp it up for the camera and really love the way you look. Love it and save these pictures to look back on when you’re older. You’ll be happy you took them, and you’ll be even happier with the body confidence this photo shoot will give you.

Plus, my boyfriend is a big, big fan of Image 1st’s handiwork!
