The symbol for Gemini is the twins. This tells us that Geminis don’t like being alone. They prefer to be around other people. It is an air sign and like Libra and Aquarius, this means that the exchange of ideas and communication are of paramount importance. It’s hard to hold such an exchange if you are on your own.
This then is the essence of Gemini. Intensely curious, they collect information either by listening to the radio, watching TV, doing courses, reading or gossip. They then share that information with others. Indeed Geminis are great talkers, but often they are not great listeners. Their minds are never on just one thing so if you are trying to tell them something, be quick and to the point or you will find that their minds have wandered and you have lost their interest.
A Gemini’s mind moves at great speed as they juggle lots of different information and facts. This means that they can be in two minds, or more, when making a decision. As they juggle different factors, choosing can be difficult. They are then likely to talk to their friends to get their views on what to do before making up their minds.
The idea that they are always ‘in two minds’, also comes from their ability to change their thinking so quickly. One minute they say they are going to do one thing, and the next minute they are doing something else. This may be confusing for others, but for the Gemini who has just had a new idea, it makes perfect sense. They may have simply forgotten to inform you of the change.
Geminis can be absent minded. They are big picture people and so are not interested in detail. Where you put your keys, or glasses are details of life, and they are less likely to remember such details. Their forte is in generating ideas, learning and sharing what they’ve learned. They can make gifted sales people, broadcasters and teachers. They have a great sense of fun which is often expressed in mischief. They are good with words and are often very witty.
Geminis enjoy sparkling conversation and will talk to anyone and anything. Because they are lively, bubbly, cheerful and enjoy banter; they can also be a bit flirtatious. This is just another way in which they can be playful. Word play is important because it keeps the mind lively and active. Easily bored, Geminis are never still for very long. Their minds need to be engaged and so any activity which keeps the mind active is welcome.
Geminis are experts at multi-tasking. They often have more than one job and some are known to juggle more than one career. Whatever they are doing, they are always on the go, sometimes quite literally. Many have jobs which require that they spend a lot of time in cars. It’s just as well that an insurance survey released last year found that Geminis are the best drivers of the Zodiac. It makes sense when you consider that good drivers are well coordinated and able to think about many different factors at once.
So as we approach the summer season with the café culture in full swing, spending time with a Gemini can guarantee a light, bubbly and stimulating conversation.
